The City of Montreal announced Wednesday $ 2.3 million in assistance for organizations working with people experiencing homelessness, including Aboriginal people; a measure deemed “insufficient” by community workers.

In the forty or so organizations that will share the amount announced by the City, we should notably mention The Open Door Montreal, Chez Doris, Quebec Native Projects and the Montreal Native Friendship Center, which offer services to Aboriginal people in situations of ‘roaming.
